Meet the person who is making this possible.
Aruho Onesmas.
The founder of the project is Aruho Onesmas, a native of Rukungiri district located 150km away from the project site. Growing up in a large, economically disadvantaged family of 11 children, Onesmas faced financial challenges throughout his education. To support himself, he engaged in various jobs, including selling matooke in markets and working as a motorcycle (boda-boda) rider.
Despite the hardships, Onesmas completed his high school education. However, due to a lack of funds, he was unable to continue his studies immediately after high school. Returning to work as a boda-boda rider, he eventually secured employment in hotels around Lake Bunyoyi. It was during this time that Onesmas decided to pursue further education, eventually earning a bachelor's degree from Kabale University.
In his leisure time, Onesmas observed children in the community involved in hazardous activities such as stone quarrying and sand mining, despite being underage. This realization prompted him to initiate a children's care project in January 2020, with the aim of protecting children from rights violations and providing them with access to education.

Our children are currently sitting for their midterm three exams of the year 2025, marking another important step in their educational journey. We are truly thankful to God for guiding us to this milestone and for the continued blessings that have sustained our school and community.
Reaching this stage is a meaningful achievement — by the end of this year, we will have completed four years of dedicated service to these young learners. It has been a journey of growth, learning, and unwavering commitment to giving children a brighter future filled with hope and opportunity.

Today, we joyfully gathered at Kagarama Church of Uganda for a heartfelt Thanksgiving celebration. It was a beautiful moment to give thanks to God for His continued love, care, and protection over us throughout the year. The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as the community came together to reflect on the progress and positive change taking place around them.
This event was not just about celebration—it was a reminder of how far we have come through the collective efforts of our supporters, donors, and well-wishers. Your contributions, prayers, and encouragement have been instrumental in shaping a better future for these young children, offering them hope and opportunity.

End of Term Two 2025 Successfully Concluded
Our children have successfully completed their end-of-term two exams for the year 2025, marking another important step in their academic journey. These examinations not only showcase the learners' progress but also reflect the dedication and hard work of teachers, parents, and the entire community that supports them.
Today, 20th August 2025, we officially closed the second term. As we prepare to reopen for the third term on 15th September 2025, we remain committed to ensuring that our students continue to receive the guidance and resources they need to grow academically and personally.
We take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed—whether through financial assistance, spiritual support, or physical involvement. Your generosity and kindness have made it possible for us to reach this milestone, and for that, we are deeply thankful.
