Meet the person who is making this possible.
Aruho Onesmas.
The founder of the project is Aruho Onesmas, a native of Rukungiri district located 150km away from the project site. Growing up in a large, economically disadvantaged family of 11 children, Onesmas faced financial challenges throughout his education. To support himself, he engaged in various jobs, including selling matooke in markets and working as a motorcycle (boda-boda) rider.
Despite the hardships, Onesmas completed his high school education. However, due to a lack of funds, he was unable to continue his studies immediately after high school. Returning to work as a boda-boda rider, he eventually secured employment in hotels around Lake Bunyoyi. It was during this time that Onesmas decided to pursue further education, eventually earning a bachelor's degree from Kabale University.
In his leisure time, Onesmas observed children in the community involved in hazardous activities such as stone quarrying and sand mining, despite being underage. This realization prompted him to initiate a children's care project in January 2020, with the aim of protecting children from rights violations and providing them with access to education.

End of Term Three Exams 2025
Our children are completing their end of term three exams for the year 2025, and we wish them every success as they conclude this important stage. With the completion of these exams, we proudly mark four full years of dedicated service to these young learners — a journey filled with growth, hope, and countless achievements.
This term officially closes on 5th December 2025, and we take this moment to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our well-wishers and supporters. Your encouragement, effort, and generosity have been a pillar of strength, enabling both us and the children to reach this milestone with confidence.
We promise to continue serving with commitment and compassion to ensure that these children receive the bright and promising future they deserve. As we look ahead, the next term will commence on 2nd February 2026, and we kindly continue to request your invaluable support.

Reaching this stage is a meaningful achievement — by the end of this year, we will have completed four years of dedicated service to these young learners. It has been a journey of growth, learning, and unwavering commitment to giving children a brighter future filled with hope and opportunity.

Today, we joyfully gathered at Kagarama Church of Uganda for a heartfelt Thanksgiving celebration.
